Bakes volume of pastries and breads for retail stores. Bakes specialized pastries and specific products as ordered. Check the quality of baking ingredients. Prepare equipment for baking. Measure and weigh flour and other ingredients in mixers or blenders. Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough. Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets. Set oven temperatures. Place and bake items in hot oven or grills. Observe color and state of products being baked. Apply glazes, icing, or other toppings. Use dough mixers, cutters, machine breads, commercial ovens for baking. Produce various types and quantities of breads, parties, and other baked goods by grocers, wholesalers, restaurants and institutional food services. Must carefully follow instructions for production schedules and recipes. Crafting and creating new and existing baked goods. Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time for opening.
